About the Role
Galileo is looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife with strong clinical experience in complex pregnancy care and an interest in improving health outcomes for those who need it the most. Unlike in traditional practices, at Galileo you’ll be given the time and tools necessary to truly solve patient issues in a proactive manner, work with an excellent team of multi-disciplinary experts, and be at the frontier of modern medicine.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Act as a key provider on our clinical team, which provides exceptional care to cohorts of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial patients, with significant care coordination support from an active, engaged team
- Deliver maternal care in a patient-centric and provider-centric model - in the home, in the clinic, and through virtual visits
- Drive ongoing improvements for our care model, optimizing outcomes while decreasing inefficiency
ABOUT YOU
You are a Certified Nurse Midwife with extensive clinical experience. You are comfortable with complex clinical and social needs and eager to care for patients both in a digital environment as well as within the home. You are driven to create systems that enable personalized, empathetic care for individuals and families in the community and eager to find a modern practice that supports approaching patient care in ways that make meaningful and real impact to their lives.
This is an in-person role supporting our patients located in Northern New Mexico. The field-based role and will travel into patients' homes. This is a part time position at 12 hours per week (1.5 days), during the week. No weekends.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following or equivalent experience:
- 3+ total years perinatal care experience, including prenatal, postpartum, and/or labor & delivery
- Ability to conduct/interpret NSTs and limited OB u/s preferred
- Ability to or willingness to perform phlebotomy
- Innovative and creative leadership qualities
- Proven experience with successful behavior modification
- Comfort with basic procedural skills
- Ability to travel across assigned territory with reliable access to personal transportation
- Completed an accredited CNM program with certification to practice
- Active licensure in New Mexico or ability to obtain license by start date with Galileo
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required
- For the safety of our patients and staff, employees in this role must be fully vaccinated with all necessary vaccinations. This includes a booster for a completed COVID-19 vaccination.
Compensation:
The hourly rate is: $45-72/hour based on experience and market dynamics.
Physical Requirements:
The employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without a reasonable accommodation: This position requires the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. The job involves frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling to perform various tasks.
Travel Requirements:
As part of this role, you will be required to spend 60-80% of your time "in the field" and at your market's HQ. This is primarily for field-based patient care and support, usually concentrated in specific zones but can include travel across the market. Time at HQ is largely for team collaboration, learning and alignment.
