Cost to receive care from Galileo depends on the type of services rendered and the member’s plan design. If Galileo refers you to in-person procedures, such as specialist visits or labs, this will go through your insurance and you may have an additional copay or coinsurance.

Who is eligible to use the Galileo benefit?

Galileo has partnered with your employer to provide access to Galileo for yourself and your dependents (all ages) on the company medical plan. Due to protected health information, all dependents require a separate account with a unique email address to use Galileo.

What is Galileo?
Galileo offers significant time savings by providing immediate access for urgent issues and virtual appointments within 2-5 days for elective issues. Galileo’s dedicated team of providers can take care of almost any health needs, whether acute or chronic, and build a strong relationship with patients along the way. Eligible employees will utilize the Galileo mobile app to access in-network care via chat, phone, or video and avoid unnecessary, costly visits to emergency rooms and urgent care centers. Galileo providers can also order labs and diagnostic tests and coordinate referrals to any in-person care if needed. The cost for employees to receive care from Galileo will depend on the type of services rendered and their medical plan design.
How does Galileo work?
Through the Galileo app, covered members can receive care for a wide variety of health needs by video, phone or chat, including sudden health issues like the flu or stomach pain, to ongoing concerns, like back pain or diabetes. To get started on Apple or Android devices, download and open the Galileo app and tap Get care for a new issue. In addition to medical care, Galileo also has a patient support team available 24/7 to help with referrals for in-person care, labs, and medical record requests when needed.
Who is eligible to access Galileo?
Full-time Delta employees and their family members enrolled in a Delta medical plan are eligible to access Galileo. There are no age limits to use Galileo. All dependents (including those under the age of 18) can receive care through Galileo. Care for pediatric patients is limited to urgent care, but Galileo will help coordinate in-person care for annual well-child visits or chronic condition management if needed. Every family member needs their own account with a unique email address.
How much does Galileo cost to use?
Galileo operates as an in-network provider on Delta medical plans. Cost to receive care from Galileo depends on the type of services received and the member’s plan design. For members on the Delta Copay option, there is no cost to use Galileo. For those enrolled in the Delta HSA medical options, members will need to meet their applicable deductible, and then subsequent visits will be a $25 copay. Preventive care is covered at 100%. How do I get started?
Register for an account above, download the mobile app, and create your account. When prompted, select UMR as your health plan and enter your Member ID on your Medical ID card when prompted. Your Member ID is the same as your 9-digit PPR. You do not need an access code. Click here for a step-by-step guide.
How do I create an account for a covered dependent (spouse or child)?
Covered dependents can enter their name and a unique email address, along with their insurance information (select UMR and add the employee’s 9-digit PPRNumber as the Member ID). For dependents under the age of 18, during a pediatric consult, you will be prompted to provide identification (either their photo ID or the photo ID of the parent/guardian). Spouses and dependents with their own phones can also create their account using the steps above if applicable. Click here for a step-by-step guide.
